Ancestry

A whisper on some far off breeze
Or long forgotten cry
A memory in the midst of time
An echo fleeting by

I roam the earth in memories
But rarely called to mind
And live in the subconscious
Of a world I left behind

Without me you would never be
know me, you never could
But we’re the same, you bear my name
And in your veins, my blood

A carved stone is my legacy
So if you find the time
Please pause a while, consider me
Your thoughts would grace my shrine

In life we’re seperated
Generations far apart
But think of me, I’ll live again
Just briefly in your heart
