An old man’s breath escapes him as a sigh
For he sees in you, himself from days gone by
Reminded of his own forgotten years
Not for himself, for you he sheds his tears
Because he knows how short your path ahead
And just how little time it takes to tread
That all too soon you’ll stand where he stands now
And think back to this day and wonder how
When it feels like only minutes have elapsed
That somehow all those years seem to have passed
You’ll maybe then recall that old man’s sigh
And shed a tear yourself as youth walks by.
Well I find your site at last
